The SARL has a simple form: it requires at least a managerwho will take care of the management affairs of the company, andan associate. It is in fact mandatory to be at least two people to create an SARL. A ceiling is also set at 100 people. In case you would like to benefit from the advantages of the SARL but do not have at your side a reliable partner with whom to associate, you can create a EURL (Single-member company with limited liability).
You can also create the company by being several managers. Only natural persons can become managers (legal entities can be associated). However, certain conditions are required to become a manager, including the need to be of French or EU nationality or to have a residence permit allowing one to carry out a commercial activity in the territory (foreigners or non-residents can become partners).
Unlike the less restrictive conditions for associates, you must be an adult or an emancipated minor to become a manager (unemancipated minors can become associates, even if they are not entitled to act directly).

To become a partner, it is of course necessary to make a contribution to the capital of the future company. There is no Chairman or Managing Director for Limited Liability Companies. The manager and the partners come together once a year for an ordinary general meeting.
