As a general rule, it is possible to open an .img file directly and use it as a classic player. The procedure is similar on Windows and Mac. Double-click to open the .img file. The system now automatically creates a virtual drive and you can access all data as you would with an external drive. Thus, the contained files can also be copied one by one or in groups and moved to another hard drive.
