DISM and SFC are command-line tools that, at best, can repair Windows. SFC is the acronym for » System File Checker and DISM from » Deployment Image Servicing and Management « . SFC and DISM repair tools perform system file check and are able to restore corrupted files. Here’s how to use them:
Step 1 : open the command prompt with administrator rights by pressing [Windows] + [R]type « cmd » in the command line, then press [Ctrl] + [Maj] + [Entrée] ;
2nd step : then enter the CMD command
sfc/scannow
and press [Entrée] ;
Step 3: then enter the following commands and press [Entrée] after each command:
DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image/Scanhealth
DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image/Restorehealth
Step 4: close the command prompt and restart your computer;
Step 5: check if the error persists while updating/upgrading.
