Linux tee command – IONOS

To better understand what the Linux tee command is and its effects, just look at its name. It takes its name from the T-piece of a pipe that looks like a fork – and that’s how the practical control works: on the one hand, it bed from standard input “stdin”used for example with the keyboard or a program, and returns the reading through standard output « stdout ». In addition to standard output, for example a screen, the Linux tee command also writes the output to one or more files. A single input therefore gives rise to two or more simultaneous outputs.
