Is the screen image jumping, the audio transmission is jerky, or the Zoom video is laggy? This may be due to jitter. Behind this term hides the clock jitter when transmitting digital signals and the variation of the execution times during the transmission of the data packets. This means that jitter can cause delay, offset, or deviations in signal pulses, amplitudes, or phase timing.
In TCP/IP networks, jitter represents latency deviations during the transmission of data packets between the instances or terminals concerned. Data packets therefore take longer than usual to reach the recipient.
