Since 2019, Google offers Gmail in dark mode on browsers or Gmail apps for iOS and Android. For devices running iOS 13, this built-in feature is no longer available (at the time of writing, in 2021), but it is still possible to activate it indirectly, through the display settings and adjusting the device brightness. If you use Gmail from your browser or on Android, dark mode is still available.
With a dark user interface in Gmail, the brightness of the screen is more pleasant and protects your eyes more. Not only do you tire less, but it also allows you tosave battery. If you spend a lot of time on your mail, for example creating new Gmail rules or performing keyword searches in your inbox using Gmail search operators, dark mode can be very useful.
