A trend in web design: one-page sites

PARTAGEZ

In the right context, if the content lends itself to it and if the strategy is well adapted, single-page sites can present many benefits. Focusing on the essentials generally leads to a clear and simple style, as well as easy and intuitive navigation for the user.

I’narrative arrangement and clear content helps tell a compelling story. Indeed, by managing the organization of content in a logical way, you can easily present your products and services in an understandable and attractive way. One-page sites make it possible to present the qualities and sales arguments in a very effective way and guide the user directly to the conversion. Designing a one-page site can be particularly judicious in the case of a simple project or a one-off event, insofar as it allows the user to have access to all the information from a single a look.

One-page sites, however, have some disadvantages. As we have already mentioned, this presentation breaks with the usual browsing routine, which may confuse some users at first sight, and alter their experience.

The theme “content is king” is omnipresent in search engines. In single-page sites, the content is intentionally kept to a bare minimum, and it is difficult to implement a real keyword strategy on a single page. In this case, the optimization is generally limited to a main keyword, and additional keywords related to the themes of the website.

Depending on the weight and number of images and multimedia elements, single-page sites often present a rather long loadinga problem that the aforementioned flat design tries to compensate for.
