Disable an Instagram account
Instagram allows its users to deactivate their account temporarily. If you want temporarily delete your network contentyou don't need to delete your account permanently.
- Connect: Access the Instagram connection page In the browser and connect with the account you want to temporarily deactivate.
- Go to the « Properties » menu: Click the « Plus » button> « Settings »> « Accounts space »> « Personal information »> « Property and account control » to access information in your Instagram profile.
- Select « Disable account »: In the settings of your Instagram account, you will find the « deactivation or deletion » option. Click on this one and select the account of your choice. Then click on « Disable account ».
- Justify deactivation: You will be invited to enter your password. To deactivate your Instagram account, you must first give a reason.

Instagram requests a reason to deactivate your account, but you can select « Other » if you do not wish to give a justification. The authorization of the platform is not necessary to carry out the deactivation.

- Confirm the deactivation: If you want to deactivate your account despite the problem solving strategies presented, confirm the deactivation by clicking on the « Disable account » button.
After deactivating your account, all your content, including all photos, comments and mentions I like will remain invisible until you reactivate your account by reconnecting.

If your Instagram account has been successfully disabled, a simple reconnection is enough to immediately reactivate an account.

Delete or deactivate an Instagram account in the application
As in the browser, you can also delete or deactivate your account in the Instagram application. For this too, just follow a few simple steps.
- Go to the settings: Go to « Parameters and activity »> « Espace Accounts »> « Personal information »> « Property and account control ».
- Select the operation: Press « Deactivation or deletion » and then select your account. As in the browser, you can then choose between temporary deactivation or permanent deletion of your account.
